1940's Checkerboard Skirt Suit

This is just the cutest skirt suit! Vintage 1940's, and the details are amazing. Both pieces are done in a red and white checkerboard pattern. The jacket has dolman sleeves that are 3/4 length. It also has a notched peter pan collar. The 8 red buttons down the front of the jacket are in pairs. The skirt is straight with a 7 inch kick pleat in the back. It is below the knee length. There is a side metal zipper and hook close on the waistband. The suit was made by Rite-Fit and is in excellent condition. The only place that even shows that the suit was worn are the button holes. This suit is New Look fashion at its best!
