1970's Floral Halter Maxi Dress

Product Description

This is an incredible vintage 1970's halter maxi dress. It has a subtle floral pattern on pale yellow. The floral pattern is done in goldenrod, orange, robins egg blue, two shades of fern green, sepia, and white. The halter bodice of the dress has a criss cross pattern on the bust and the halter is closed at the back of the neck with a snap closure. From the high waist the full skirt flows beautifully to the floor. The entire dress is made of two layers, the bottom a pale yellow taffeta and the top layer is a sheer chiffon on which the print is placed. This chiffon layer is used to make sunburst accordion pleats in the skirt and a deep 9" ruffle on the hem. The effect is light and whimsical while the halter bodice gives it a bombshell aspect as well. There is a flaw in this beautiful dress, in the underlayer on the back of the skirt there is a tear 1" in length. This is not noticeable and does not affect the wearability of the dress (please see inset picture for a closeup of the tear). This incredible dress would be stunning at a formal event, and just as perfect for making any day a special one!
